Tuesday, August 28, is s the first day that candidates for alderman and other City offices can legally ask registered voters to sign nominating petitions.

Mayoral candidate Lori Lightfoot has released her proposed ethics reform plan. It targets outside jobs for municipal workers and addresses mayoral term limits, among other sound ideas.

  1. I know Andrew and he is authentic. As for mayor I have no idea. I think Rahm inherited a bad situation. By that I mean, Jesus couldn’t fix the financials of the city or state and blaming Rahm for shootings doesn’t seem exactly fair. The people in the communities most impacted need to speak up, change will never happen from the top down. The problem is simply too large. I was watching the WGN today and they were showing a shooting, while I was watching I thought to myself just give people that inform the police witness protection and relocate them elsewhere with a decent check. Seems like everything else has been tried. The solution to every problem is money.
